Self-Adapting Fixing Wedges are specialized plastic interdental wedges designed for Class II restorative dental procedures. Featuring a contoured “wave-style” design with a hollow underside, they compress during insertion and expand in the embrasure space to create a tight, uniform cervical seal against matrix bands without damaging soft tissue. Key Features & Benefits Anatomical Adaptation: Compresses on entry through the contact point and flares upon exit, automatically adjusting to the unique interproximal contour of the tooth. Gingival Protection: The hollow/concave underside straddles the interdental papilla, minimizing trauma and reducing soft-tissue bleeding. Stackable & Dual Insertion: Allows a second wedge to be placed from the opposite side if additional cervical adaptation is required. Tweezer Holes: Pre-molded pinholes at the end ensure secure placement and swift retrieval with wedge-positioning tweezers. Reduced Finishing Time: Delivers tight contact points that mimic natural tooth anatomy, significantly reducing overhangs and post-operative polishing.
